Heat Rash

By surekha

Heat rash is a type of skin infection that gets spread during summer. It turns the skin layer into red layer causing swelling. The heat rash can appear as tiny red spots on the skin usually flaky and filled with pus. It can occur on any part of the skin that is prone and exposed to infection.

Heat rash is commonly known as prickly heat develops when there is excess of sweating that gets trapped beneath the skin. Normally the body sweats to cool down the skin layer and to maintain normal temperature.

But sometimes, the sweat gets blocked inside when the glandular pores are closed. It may result in the form of heat rash in the affected area. There are many reasons for getting heat rash such as living in hot atmosphere, wearing tight clothes and using warm blankets during summer. Sometime, applying cosmetic creams and lotions can clog the pores from which sweat dissipates and form rashes on the skin.

Formation of lesions or bumps on the surface of the skin, development of red scaly patches is some of the signs of heat rash. The intensity of rash varies from person to person depending on the health condition of the body.

Keeping the body aerated is the only way to prevent heat rash. Do not expose yourself to hot sunny rays and wear loose clothes when you go out.
