Kawasaki disease is a condition of inflammation of blood vessels in the entire body affecting the growth of infants. KD is the primary cause for getting acquired heart problems in children.
Some of the symptoms of KD are fever, rashes on the body with more numbers in groin, reddish eyes, cracked lips and swollen lymph nodes. The children are very often irritable and cannot be controlled.
Kawasaki disease is purely genetic in nature and rarely an infection can cause these symptoms. Lowered level of immunity is said to be the primary cause for KD. The exact cause for inheriting this disease is still unknown.
